Protema stainless steel trolley

The stainless steel powered lift CleanRoom 80 is designed to function in the most demanding environments and to withstand the tough sanitary requirements within food processing and many chemical and pharmaceutical work areas. CR80 is IP65 certified. The IP65 regulations are an encapsulation requirement which applies to products with high reliability demands where water or dust could cause problems. IP-classification testing is normally carried out in accordance with the global IEC 60529 standards or its European equivalent, EN 60529.

The smooth surfaces and seamless design allow only a minimum of particle accumulation. This lift tolerates high pressure cleaning and use of alkali solvents due to closed construction.

In some industries the compliance of these regulations is a requirement. For others is a powered lift that can be hosed down a very desirable solution. Furthermore we have also chosen, regarding maintenance, to please our clients even more by installing all the electronics inside the chassis bottom cover, making it easy to reach when the cover comes off.

Lifting rolls and reels

Protema lifts have been successfully marketed around the world for many years which during that time we have experienced and solved many manual lifting problems. Roll and reel lifting is very often carried out with an electric lift in different manufacturing processes such as in the food industry. The large packaging machines are equipped with spindles, where rolls of packaging foil is inserted. Downtime is undesirable and the exchange of the roll must be done quickly.

Changing rolls in packaging machines is carried out swiftly and safely using a Protema lift with V-block on a platform. The V-block is detachable so that the platform can be used for other chores in between changes. A simple method of safely transporting reels of foil from pallet to machine is using a V-block. The detachable machine shaft is inserted into the core of the roll resting in a V-block on a Protema lift. The V-block is placed on a rotating plate for easier access. The operator then pushes the lift into place and lifts the shaft into position.

With a boom reel lifter you can easily change reels of packaging material which manually is a very strenuous task. A boom attached to a lift can be moved up close to the machine making the roll easy to push onto to the machine shaft, using very little manual force. The Boom can be attached to different models of Protema lifters, ranging from one of our smaller models PRO70 with weight capacity up to 70 kg and upwards, often counterweight models. A special boom with rollers makes it even easier to unload the reel.

A roll can be picked up from a pallet with a Protema EasySqueeze which grips the reel sideways. The roll is gripped safely between the arms, rotated and installed in the machine. We have different types of padded grippers available and all provide a great grip on most material. Arms are suited to the type of reel replacement. The reel is gripped, turned and placed on the shaft with fixed arms. The reel can be rotated manually or electrically with swiveling arms. It is possible to equip units such as PRO200LESE and PRO200LESM with fixed or swiveling arms and they can handle weights up to 130 kg. Here a PRO100 equipped with EasySqueeze arms to fix and rotate reels.

Coregripper tool for Protema electric lift PRO70 offers easy roll handling with lifting capacity up to 35 kg. A coregripper tool makes it possible to turn the roll from a vertical to a horizontal position with a grip inside the roll core. The coregripper tool is available in several different versions for varying core diameters and lifting capacities. PRO70 is available in three different lifting heights.

This model is a PRO120 with a gripping tool for reels with lifting capacity up to 90 kg. This is an application that is very popular within food manufacturing industry. Rolls are picked up and turned to be installed in the packaging machines. PRO120 is available in three different lifting heights and is battery driven with integrated charger. The tool can be rotated with very little effort due to it is outbalanced. The lift is features such as safety sensors on front legs, central braking system and 2-speed removable control and.

Lifting drums

Protema stainless steel lifts with different tool applications are suitable in clean room environments with high demands. Drums are often used in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry to transport ingredients and produce. In this application, large drums of tablets, powders or fluid are picked from shelf and moved into the pharmaceutical production area. Padded grippers and turning tools are appropriate for ergonomic lifting in the pharmaceutical industry. The EasySqueeze is suitable for lifting drums of varying dimensions. It is recommended using an electric turner instead of a manual turning solution when carrying loads from 60 kg and more. The electric tilting function is advisable when emptying drums at a height. Here a Protema PRO200 with EasySqueeze unit in stainless steel.
